By renting a Happy Seats padded stadium seat ("a seat"), you agree to these terms.
What you're renting
A rental ("pass") buys you a number of seat slots for the length of the pass (single game, day, weekend, or season) — not specific physical seats. Any available seat can fill a slot, so checking a seat in at the tent, taking a different one back out, or swapping mid-event is expected and free while your pass is active.
Card on file
A valid card is required to start any rental — this covers the non-return and damage fees below. Cash is accepted for fees, but we still need a card on file before a seat goes out the door.
Text messaging
Renting a pass with SMS opt-in enrolls you in automated rental notifications (your pass link, return reminders, and fee notices) from Happy Seats via SMS at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies with your rental activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to SMS is not a condition of rental. See our Privacy Policy for how your phone number is handled — mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Returning your seat(s)
Seats are due back when your pass expires (event end for single-game passes, venue close for day passes, Sunday close for weekend passes). Drop them at any marked return bin or the tent.
- First time late: no charge — return it by the next event and we'll waive the fee.
- 5+ days late: we charge a $25 per-seat replacement fee to the card on file (capped at $75 per pass). At that point the charge is treated as a purchase — if the seat turns up later, bring it back and we'll refund you.
- Repeat non-returns: customers with two or more charged non-returns may be asked for a card pre-authorization hold on future rentals.
Damage
Seats are inspected on return. Fees are charged to the card on file, with a photo attached to the record:
- Minor (scuffs, normal wear): $0
- Moderate (stains, bent but safe): $5–10
- Major (torn, broken, biohazard): $25
Staff may waive any damage fee at their discretion.
Refunds
Refunds for cancelled or rained-out events are handled by Happy Seats staff, pro-rated by unused days (weekend passes) or remaining games (season passes).
Assumption of risk / liability waiver
Happy Seats seats are provided for comfort only and are not safety equipment. You use a rented seat at your own risk. Happy Seats is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse, improper placement, or normal risks of attending a live sporting event. Do not use a rented seat in a manner other than as a stadium/bleacher seat cushion with backrest.
Pricing & tax
Displayed prices are tax-inclusive at the venue's configured rate (0% until Happy Seats is tax registered in a given jurisdiction — this will be reflected in displayed pricing when it changes).
